Getting your Turner art appraised
Not all pictures are created equal, so it takes a highly specialized, knowledgable, and experienced appraiser to determine where each works fits into the pantheon of works by Tuner. It is also important to note that for the watercolors, that is to say, for works on paper, condition is paramount.
At Turner Experts we offer two different levels of appraisals. The first is an informal appraisal to give the client a good general idea as to the range of possible values. We also offer in-depth detailed written appraisals which are derived by way of an analysis of the quality and significance of the particular work vis-vis comparisons to his other works.
Current appraisals are necessary for a number of reasons, including: value for insurance, for storage and shipping, for tax and estate purposes, or an appraisal prior to purchase or sale, just to name some of the important applications.
